Common Questions
Before you book, the honest answers.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. Commit to 12 months and we waive our $2,500 startup fee. Or pay the startup fee and you are month to month after the first 90 days, so you are never locked in if it is not working.
Is there a separate fee for AI?
Only if you add it. The AI add-on is $127/mo plus a $497 one-time setup, and you can add it to any package if you want it. It turns on the AI voice receptionist and makes AI website chat unlimited. Without it you pay nothing extra, and website chat is capped at 500 conversations a month. Voice calls (150/mo) and SMS (500/mo) stay capped either way, because every call and text carries a real carrier cost. A call counts in five-minute blocks — a typical booking call is one, a 12-minute call is three, and hang-ups under 15 seconds don’t count. If you regularly run over, we talk about the right allowance before anything changes on your invoice.
Is a website really included in every retainer?
Yes. Foundation and up include a custom-designed site on our engine. The plan table shows the pages and changes at each level.
What happens to my site if I stop?
You keep it. The site, the domain and the content are yours. We give you a downloadable copy of the site to take anywhere, or we keep it running for you on Launch Lite at $69/month, with everything every Launch plan includes: hosting, security and software updates; the weekly accessibility monitor; the Bougie Editor: edit text and photos yourself, preview before you publish, undo any change; one small change request a month, done by us.
Can I bring my own designer or developer?
Yes. We work alongside in-house teams all the time. The Partner tier is built for that — embedded, not territorial.
Do you do one-off projects?
Yes — through Bougie Launch. If a retainer is more than you need right now, Launch gets you a studio-built website from $499 setup + $69/mo, live in 10 business days, with a path up to a retainer later. Launch does not include social, strategy or reporting.
